3 Designer Swimwear Labels to Know Right Now

As another summer season approaches, we find ourselves looking for a hot new swimsuit (or two or three!)  Every year, a few brands stand out and really dominate the designer swimwear industry that season.  Sometimes they’re tried and true best-selling labels, and sometimes they’re hot new up-and-comers.  For the 2013 season, three brands are definitely stealing the spotlight and exploding not just in the designer swimwear industry, but across the social media world as well.  Enter Lolli Swim, MIKOH and Acacia.

Lolli Swim

MIKOH Swimwear

MIKOH Swimwear is another brand that’s relatively new but having their biggest year yet!  The sister design duo, Oleema and Kalani Miller, were born and bred in sunny Southern California, where swimwear was a way of life for them.  From day one, MIKOH has been giving new meaning to the term “sexy back” with their seamless cheeky designs featuring stunning back detailing.  Instead of hardware and embellishments, MIKOH incorporates crochet, strappy string details and more to make each swimsuit truly unique.  And because of their seamless construction, MIKOH swimsuits always feature amazing fit and super luxe fabrics.  Without a doubt, MIKOH has the whole beachy boho-chic thing down pat and is made for the bold beachgoer at heart.

Acacia Swimwear

Although this isn’t their first official year in the biz, Acacia Swimwear really exploded this season.  Inspired by Hawaii, Bali and their love of bikinis and travel, Naomi Newirth and Lyndie Irons teamed up to create their idea of the perfect swimwear line.  Above all, Acacia Swimwear evokes the lifestyle of the Gypsetter, and is inspired by the most exotic beaches around the world.  They combine the Italian bikini’s low cuts and ultra-luxurious fabrics, the Brazilian bikini’s skimpy, cheeky fit and custom prints and patterns inspired by both Hawaii and Bali.  Overall, the swimwear designs are unique and daring, for the beach girl who isn’t afraid to stand out and show off her hard-earned bikini bod at the beach.
