The Bikini Team loves a Monokini because that extra landing
strip down the front can hide a multitude of sins! This V-Neck Halter Monokini
from Gottex got us all inspired because it starts out quite simple and then
adds a dash of macrame at the cut outs which seems to narrow the waistline a
size or two. Any element that’s artfully worked into a swimsuit to fool the eye
gets a thumbs up from the team.
Gottex suits are cut for a woman’s body and many styles
actually feature bra sizing in the cups. This monokini does not have a sized
bra but does feature built-in cup lining and ties at the neck and behind the
back with a sash style closure that can also diminish the appearance of a wider
back. The bottom of the suit is cut high on the leg to make legs look longer
and wide enough across the back to make the hips and cheeks look shapely.
Even if a cutaway swimsuit is not in your wardrobe, we’re
going to advocate trying this one on to see how it works on your areas of
concern. The combination of hourglass cutouts, macrame details and wide back
sash might just create the look you’re looking for!
For being all business in front but a party out back, we rate
